Dr. Dabber has pulled out all the stops with their latest release, the Switch 2, a top-tier electronic rig for concentrates like wax, rosin, shatter, or resin.

It has a swift 30 second heat-up time and you can enjoy a whopping 50 hits per charge. It charges in 60 to 90 minutes via USB-C, and the kit includes a hot knife and smartphone app.

Five customisable preset temperatures

Dr. Dabber Switch 2 has a temperature range of 250°F – 650°F (121°C – 343°C) and has five default heat settings that are color-coded.

Purple 400°F (204°C)
Blue 440°F (227°C)
Green 480°F (249°C)
Orange 500°F (260°C)
White 550°F (288°C)

The best part is that these default heat settings don’t limit you, and you can set custom profiles, adjust the temperature, and control vapor output with the smartphone app.

The Dr. Dabber App offers deep customization of everything from temperature settings, heating profiles, hold times, and session times.

Induction heating with an infrared sensor

The induction heating in the Switch 2 heats the entire titanium chamber as one unit, and the infrared sensor makes real-time adjustments in the power sent to the heating element to maintain the desired temperature precisely.

Not only does this enhance taste and vapor quality, but it also preserves the concentrates, which can get pricey if you’re using the good stuff.

Dynamic heat modes

Dr. Dabber Switch 2 has three heating modes that mimic traditional rig experiences — Descent, Ascent, and Steady.

Descent Mode replicates traditional torch dabbing and reduces temperature gradually, preserving terpenes;
Ascent Mode steadily increases temperature for cold start dabs or low-temp experiences;
Steady Mode keeps a stable temperature throughout your hit, adjusting the temperature according to the dab size and inhalation speed.

Loaded with neat accessories

The Switch 2 kit includes the vaporizer unit, with the glass bubbler and carb cap installed. The carb cap is magnetic, so you can drop it, and it snaps right into place. It also has a ball joint, so you can move it to direct the air into the corners of the bowl to maximize airflow.

Dr. Dabber has also thrown in the Drop, a hot knife or heated loading tool that melts the concentrate into the bowl’s center. Plus, tweezers and a USB-C charging cable.

Difference between Dabber Switch and Dabber Switch 2

While the original Dr. Dabber Switch works with both flower and concentrate, and Switch 2 focuses on concentrate dabbing only. It’s smaller and lighter than the previous edition, making it easier to handle. Though with a trade-off in battery life—offering 50 cycles per charge compared to the Switch’s 100.

The Switch 2 steps it up with a 20mm quartz insert with a 300% increase in volume, accommodating larger dabs with ease. And users can fully customize their sessions with the app.
